A discussion meeting titled "Protecting Lives and Property During a Devastating Flood" was held at the Burunga Union Foundation office. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ataur Rahman Chowdhury and jointly conducted by Secretary Mr. Kazi Khalilur Rahman and Assistant Secretary Mr. Mazharul Islam. The session began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Nuruddin.
The chief guest was Mr. Akhlaqur Rahman, the Chairman of Burunga Union Parishad and a lifetime member of the Burunga Union Foundation. Mr. Nurul Haque Adam Ali, former Secretary of Burunga Union Foundation UK, Mr. Jubair Chowdhury, Office Secretary of Burunga Union Foundation UK, and renowned social worker Mr. Ilash Ali, lifetime member of Burunga Union Foundation UK, were also present. Mr. Abdul Mukit, Treasurer of BD, also participated.
Following the discussion, the Burunga Union Foundation UK distributed cash assistance of 1,000 BDT each to those seeking refuge at various shelters, including Burunga High School and College, Royal Community Center, Sheikh Fazilatunnisa Fazil Madrasa, Tilapara Government Primary School (Jamtala), Khayerpur Mosque Market, Hakkaniya Madrasa, Kamargaon Primary School, and Burunga Sorkar Mukhsum Khan Market.
The distribution event was attended by Mr. Ashrafuzzaman PPM (Circle Officer, Osmaninagar Police Station), Mr. Rashedul Haque (Acting Officer, Osmaninagar Police Station), and Mr. Shilu Chowdhury (Honorable Member, Burunga Union Foundation UK), along with other responsible members and staff of the Burunga Union Foundation BD branch.
